Plan Your Custom Now For the Enchanted Costume Party Fundraiser

Join us for an evening celebration inside Ernest Hüpeden’s Painted Forest—a rare and immersive artist environment created by the itinerant German painter Ernest Hüpeden, who passed through Valton in 1898-1901, leaving behind a fantastical interior forest unlike anything else in Wisconsin.

This special fundraiser invites guests to dress in costume and experience the Ernest Hüpeden’s Painted Forest after hours, illuminated by creativity, conversation, and community spirit.

✦ THE EVENING INCLUDES ✦

  • Enchanted access to the Painted Forest interior
  • Costumed guests strongly encouraged – think artful, whimsical, fairies, lumberjacks, travelers, woodland creatures
  • Drinks & Light Bites
  • Music & Dancing, and most importantly
  • Preservation-focused fundraising

✦ WHY IT MATTERS ✦

The Painted Forest is more than a curiosity—it is a fragile, irreplaceable folk-art environment. Proceeds from this event directly support preservation, care, and continued public access, ensuring this singular artistic vision endures for future generations.

Your presence helps keep art, history, and wonder alive.
