Seed Mosaic Mandalas with Beth Persche
Seeds — those tiny pods housing the magic of life — have inspired creative works of art across the world and throughout history.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the beauty, symbolism, and design possibilities of seeds, grains, and beans. Many cultures have used seed mosaics in ceremonial and decorative art to reflect themes of growth, life, fertility, balance, and harmony. Different materials carried different meanings: wheat could suggest abundance, sunflower seeds loyalty, and geometric patterns often represented order and balance.
The deep connection between people and the natural world continues to be celebrated through the color, texture, and diversity of seeds in mosaic art. Tap into your creativity and design a seed mosaic mandala of your own.
